President Muhammadu Buhari has issued a week ultimatum on all the Secuirty Service Chiefs to immediately bring to a stop the incessant killings across the country.
The minister of Defense, Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali who spoke to newsmen after a meeting with President Buhari and service Chiefs in attendance said “they are working but whenever election draws closer, There is political desperation making the work more difficult it is part of it that made the President said, within one week the issues most be resolved”
He said the President told all service Chiefs to put in more effort and ensure that these killings stop immediately.
On whether the President might wield the big stick if the ultimatum expires without results, Gen. Dan-Ali said he will not speak for or pre-empt the President but sincerely the President expressed displeasure over what is happening in Zamfara and many other parts of the country.
Dan-Ali said the “President warned everyone and told them to go back and face their jobs”
