POLICE WARNS AGAINST USE OF COVERED NUMBER PLATES

Niger State Police Command has warned the public, including government officials, against the use of covered Plate Numbers on their vehicles in the state.

A statement from the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Dan-inna Abubakar expressed dismay over the usage of such numbers.

According to him, such act does not only contravene the provision of road traffic and Federal Road Safety Corps act, but also afford criminals committing crime as well as resisting arrest from security agencies in the state.

The command, while advising the motorists to refrain from such act adding that anybody caught would be arrested and prosecuted.
