Farmers in Niger State, have been advised to report any sharp practices in accessing the recently distributed assorted fertilizer and implement by the government for prompt action by the Authority.
The Hon. Commissioner of information and strategy, Alhaji Danjuma Sallau stated this, while responding to allegations of diversion and disappearance of the commodities from the market, during the ministry’s anchored programme tagged Focus on Niger State recently.
According to the commissioner, the call has become necessary considering the high premium placed on revamping the Agricultural sector to key in to the federal government initiatives of developing Agriculture.
Alhaji Danjuma further stated, that farmers with genuine cases should not hesitate to come out with useful information with a view of checkmating the practice.
He explained, that during the flag off of the sales of the commodities at the trade fair complex, the Governor warned against any form of diversion and announced ₦5,500 as subsidized price to farmers and that cannot be compromised.
