NIGER STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR DECLINES ASSEMBLY SUMMONS

The Niger state deputy Governor Ahmed Mohammed Ketso, has declined to honour a Niger state House of Assembly summons as chairman of the pension law review.
The house at a plenary on the 28th of June 2018 ordered the Deputy Governor to appear before it to clarify why the recently retired permanent secretaries from the civil service where paid with the old pension scheme, while other pensioners are been owed.
A letter to the house dated 3rd July and signed by one Danladi Nda-Isah said the Deputy Governor was out of the country for a medical Check up in Egypt.
The house upon deliberation queried why the Deputy Governor did not state the date of his return.
The house therefore moved that the Deputy overnor Ahmed Mohammed ketso should be given three weeks to appear before it, to enable him explain to Nigerlites issues relating to pensions.
