LAWMAKER SLASH FERTILIZER PRICE, GIVE WIDOWS STIPEND

The member representing Bosso constituency Hon. Malik MADAKI Bosso, has distributed fertilizers to his constituents at a subsidized rate of N3,500 instead of N5,500

The flag off which took place at opposite Galadima fuel station Bosso was attended by the representative of the deputy governor Hon. Haruna Duku the commissioner for agriculture, the speaker of the house of Assembly and many others.

The honourable member distributed four trailers of fertilizers, fifty bags of corn, cash sum of #3000 to fifty widows each, sum of #5000 to fifty women ward leaders and fifty wrappers.

The speaker, Ahmed Marafa commended Abdulmalik madaki for his contributions to farmers in his constituency. Saying “this is one of the many donations made by Abdulmalik madaki to his people” adding that the donations went to the deserving people.

Hon.Haruna Duku on behalf of the deputy governor gave out 20 bags of free fertilizers to the women in the general public.

When asked by the press what motivated him to sell at a subsidized rate he said “I am a farmer, and most of the people in my constituency are predominantly farmers, seeing the situation of the country and most of the lands aren’t fertile anymore. Farmers find it difficult to get fertilizers because of the cost”.

He added that ” I bought each trailer for #3.3 million and sold for #2.1million subsidizing #1.2million on each trailer and its about four trailers containing 600 bags of fertilizers each”.

Mr Malik told Nigerwatch Newspaper thw “My next program for my constituents will include distribution of fridges, sewing machines, grinding machines and lots more by next month. Saying “my people gave me their votes and its only fair I represent them well in the government.

Also showing her gratitude to the Hon member was Mary damian, the woman leader for chanchaga ward and bosso constituency (APC). Thanking him for the cash and gifts to widows and the women leader.
