President Muhammadu Buhari has picked his expression of interest and nomination form to contest in the forthcoming primary election of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The form was purchased on his behalf on Wednesday by one of his support groups, the Nigerian Consolidation Ambassadors Network. The APC expression of interest and nomination form is sold for N45 million.
Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant to the President on new media, said the N45million expression-of-interest form was bought by “a group of good Nigerians”.
“While President @MBuhari is far in China, a group of good Nigerians bought expression of interest form and nomination form for him.” He tweeted.
In 2015, Buhari claimed to be unable to afford the presidential nomination form, and was bought for him by supporters.
Nigeria’s presidential election will hold February 2019.
