CIVIL SERVICE RECRUITMENT: NSHA SUSPEND TEST AS CSC MEMBERS TRADE TACKLE

The House committee on labour and productivity, Niger State House of Assembly has ordered the suspension of computer base test (CBT) for applicants into the state civil service

This was contained in a press release signed by Hon. Malik Madaki Bosso, of Bosso constituency, he said, “this is as a result of the disagreement between the chairman and the permanent commissioners of the commission”

A new date will be communicated, the statement reads.

The four other permanent commissioners have in a joint press briefing read a letter they wrote to draw the attention of the chairman, Alhaji Shehu Yusuf Galadima to several issues of disagreement between them.

The permanent commissioners who signed the letter are Comrade Mohammed Adams Erena, Hajiya Asmau Usman,  Esv.  Adamu Aliyu Mohammed,  Mall. Maman S. Chado.

The letter which is in two parts, has a total of 23 issues raised including lack of consultation with fellow members, exorbitant charge of 45 Million  Naira for the conduct of the CBT test.

Unexplained expenditure of 4 million  naira on the last recruitment exercise with no satisfactory explanation.
The commissioners also frown at the piecemeal release of their allowances, they chided the chairman for paying them the sum of #1500 (one thousand five hundred) as breakfast allowance.

The members asked how the chairman has continue to spend the sum of #2 million naira monthly as imprest while their oversight allowance cannot be paid and entertainment cannot be provided

Nigerwatch Newspaper contacted the Commission chairman, Alhaji Shehu Yusuf Galadima through his phone line, He said, he is not yet formally aware of the suspension of the CBT test and he was invited to attend a hearing at the house of Assembly but couldn’t because he was far away in Kaduna , he said he will be at the house of  assembly tomorrow to “clear my name” of the allegations.

He added that it is only fair to hear his own side of the story.
