At the ongoing sitting of the Local Government Elections tribunal in Niger state, The Tribunal today 6th January 2020, adjourned hearing in the case of allegation of forgery brought against Ibrahim Abubakar Bosso of APC, by Habib Wada of the PDP.
Counsel to Petitioner, Mohammed Ndayako said he will be parading 4 witnesses of which 3 will be on Subpoena while the other one will be an ordinary witness.
Also counsel to 1st respondent, El-surur esq. said he will be bringing 3 witnesses in the course of the case.
The tribunal after deliberation adjourned sitting to Thursday 9th of January, 2020 for completion of pre-trial, allow the 2nd respondent file answers to the questionair and to fix date for hearing in the substantive matter.
It will be recalled that the local Government elections into 25 chairmanship were and 274 ward councillorship positions were held on the 30th November 2019.
Ibrahim Abubakar Bosso of the APC defeated Habib Wada of PDP according to Niger state Independent Electoral commission results announced.
Thereafter Habib Wada of the PDP filed an election petition against Ibrahim Abubakar of APC Bosso, alledging forgery of secondary school Testimonial.
