2021 BUDGET: Niger Gov. Sani Bello Presents N151b ‘BUDGET OF REALITY’

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello who is still in isolation after contracting the novel COVID-19 virus has presented the 2021 budget proposal to Niger
State House of Assembly in Minna.

Governor Bello was represented by the Deputy Governor, Alhai Ahmed Mohammed Ketso on Thursday.

The Governor said the 2021 budget proposal is tagged “Budget of Reality”.

“Taking home the lessons learned in the out-going financial year, the 2021 Budget Proposal is predicated on realistic revenue forecasts focusing on completion of prioritized achievable projects, hence it is tagged ‘Budget of Reality’.

The Governor added that “2021 Budget is estimated at One Hundred and Fifty-One Billion, Two Hundred and Forty Million, Six Hundred and Twenty-One Thousand, Seven Hundred and Seventy-Six Naira (N151,240,621,776.00) which is 2.71% lower than the original 2020 Budget of N155, 459,814,701.”
